Wonderful concept ladies and gents but I feel that you could have made such a better job if you paid more attention to the details. Your cover price is high and therefore, no matter how long you take to pull it together you cannot skimp on the basics.
Your headers are sloppy and inconsistent in terms of style. Your typography is also abysmal and full of orphans. Your body copy is hard to read. Your shoots need more looks - Dragon Fly, for example, has the same dress on three consecutive pages which would not pass.
It reminds me of a dummy issue and even if it were priced 6 Euros I would be a little dissappointed. Sorry to burst any balloons you may have raised but I hope, should you embark on another, you’ll learn from this and take action.

    Dear pony,

I don’t know where you get that our cover price would be high… we never published one…? The magazine is for sale at no cost online in PDF format…

Seen this is done by people who have NO expierience what so ever, We will take your expiereinced comments under consideration, thank you.

    greets

    sam

My apologies for the cover price mix up Sam, I gleamed this information from PSFK.com.
When I first started out I had a similar experience when visiting a potential advertiser who was rather forthright in her views. That said, looking back, she was absolutely right. After a few tweaks the magazine enjoyed more than a few years on the shelves and a share of her marketing budget.
Like yourselves we began with little or no experience but that is part of the joy of publishing. Proving to the likes of me that you roll with the punches, are open to criticism and indeed able to use it to your advantage.
I wish you well with your ambitious project and hope you will accept my apologies for the costings misunderstanding.

    Regards,

    Pony

    Dear Pony,

We already discussed your comments and as you already sensed in my comment we do appreciate all comments, especially the honest and constructive ones! The princing will be about half what’s mentioned on one of the sites (really don’t know how that got out…)

I hope we can count on your comments when next issue emerges (look for it, we just got really ambitious now! more news to come!)

    greets

    sam
